Most days, the tabloids feature limelight examples of self sabotage (and self sabotage is something Dream Destroyers will do a-plenty)- of celebrities for whom everything is going well- before they go and undermine their own career or wellbeing.

⛈ Consider the recent story of Jack Grealish signed to Man City for a record sum, developing self doubt as the new kid on the block and then self sabotaging his performance with drinking and partying- winding up up unfit to train resulting in a ban from a crucial match just before Christmas.

⛈ Consider the fall from grace of Elisabeth Holmes and her company Theranos who was charged for fraud in 2018- after years of pretending she had a technologically advanced blood analyser- which she did not. Holmes was found guilty this month- marking the end of her efforts to cheat and lie her way into Silicon Valley fame.

⛈ And in the most extreme, consider the story of Amy Winehouse who paid the highest price, giving up everything for drugs and alcohol and unfortunately never facing the Dream Destroyer patterns that brought her there.

Of course, these are extreme stories but they do illustrate some examples of what can happen when Dream Destroyers are being ignored, left in the shadows.

🌏 Here are some others:

✅ Never reaching what you KNOW is your potential

✅ Remaining underpaid, under appreciated

✅ Not able to access your creativity you KNOW is there- but that remains locked inside

✅ Being stuck with habits you know aren't good for you

✅ Being stuck with the same old symptoms; maybe anxiety, maybe low mood, and/ or not liking yourself very much

✅ Persistant self doubt

✅ Resentful, disappointed at life

✅ Hiding from the world

✅Going from one drama to the next, in relationship, finance, health, work or all four

✅ Dependent on controlling, manipulative or deceitful behaviour towards others so you can come out on top

✅ Never feeling quite happy or content

✅ Unable to emotionally connect with people

✅ Persistent unhappiness in love and friendship

✅ Not enjoying life because any one of these, or a combination of these, is dominating your everyday
