Self hypnosis for confidence is a great way to nurture your subconscious mind so that you can start to feel good about yourself and confident about anything you may want to achieve in life. This article is designed to bring you its most prominent benefits so that you can see whether self hypnosis may be helpful for you.
What do I mean by 'nurturing the mind' and why is this important? Good question.
Think about a child growing up. Their parents or care givers have to 'hold' their sense of self confidence initially until their brains mature and can- bit by bit- integrate self confidence into their self concept, into the way they see themselves in the world.
You get the idea- when the child falters and does not believe in themselves, the parents prop them up, encourage and support them until eventually, many years down the line, the child as a young adult has internalized this unshakable belief in himself or herself that "I can do anything."
Thing is--- that is what happens in an ideal world. And few of us have grown up in an ideal world. Even if your parents were great at boosting your confidence, often there is that teacher, or principal, or coach, or nanny, or aunt, or uncle who is set upon "taking you down a notch"- basically knocking your confidence and belief in yourself. Psychologists used to believe that the subconscious mind programming you receive in childhood, especially in early childhood before the age of three, pretty much determines who you are going to be as an individual for the rest of your life.
We now know that the brain is much more flexible than that. Among many other things, neuroplasticity allows you to change how you feel about yourself and how much you believe in yourself. Because much of these beliefs are anchored in the subconscious, and hypnosis works with the subconscious mind directly, hypnosis is an ideal tool for making these changes in your mind.

In relation to confidence, I often hear coaches and psychotherapists arguing that you develop it by mastering tasks, that your confidence grows over time as you overcome challenges.
This concept is fair enough for those people who are ready to get stuck into projects and challenges. But what if a lack of confidence means that you won't even attempt it or make a start? Or, what if you do make a start, and then-once the first challenges present themselves, you start feeling so uncomfortable in your lack of self belief that you end up putting the brakes on and opting out.
If that is your situation then you would be well advised to do some work on altering your feelings and beliefs first, so that you can then master tasks successfully. This is where confidence hypnosis and self hypnosis for confidence are ideally suited to help you make those changes in your life- helping you dismantle faulty and outdated programming and replacing it with a sound, confident, belief in your abilities.

While there are many different self hypnosis techniques, you can affect massive change with just a couple of powerful tools. One tool I recommend for ease of use is a voice recorded hypnosis session. These sessions can fit into your life at the end of the day when you are retiring before going to sleep, and- if you have time- in the morning before you get up.
You can combine this with well designed auto suggestions throughout the day, much of which can be done while you are multi tasking- commuting to or from work, or while you are engaged in menial work such as washing the dishes.
In that sense, self help hypnosis can fit into your life very easily, even if you are very busy. Practice regularly and make the routine a habit and you will see meaningful change.

Self hypnosis, if you practice it as described above, comes at the fraction of the price of a hypnosis session with a professional hypnotherapist. You invest once and then you can play the session at home as many times as you like- until your issue is resolved and you move on to working on changing another issue in your life.
Here comes the one limitation of self hypnosis. As I described above, self hypnosis for confidence will nurture your mind installing positive feelings and beliefs about yourself. For many people, this nurturing alone is enough to turn their lives around.

Overall however, financially, self hypnosis really is a no-brainer. It allows you, for minimum investment, to get started doing your personal work. You can then see how far you will get with it- and you can always top up with regression hypnosis if required.
Some people just don't like the idea of attending a hypnotherapist- (although I would argue that much of that is likely informed by hypnosis myths). Be that as it may, if you are one of those people who prefer to feel in charge- with self hypnosis for confidence, you can be your own hypnotherapist.
In the end, for hypnosis of any kind- self hypnosis or hypnosis with a practitioner to work for you, you need to create the right conditions for you to be able to relax and let go. And if working on your own is what works for you, so be it- simply give yourself what is right for you.
Last but not least the fact that you can practice self hypnosis in the comfort of your own home makes life a lot easier for some people- for example for those with mobility issues, or those who live far from a city or town.
With self hypnosis, you never have to attend appointments, so the time commitment and transport cost both fall away- which can be of huge benefit when your life is super busy.
